8th Grade Events

8th Grade Pep Band Night - January 11th, 5:30 pm Student Arrival

Each year, the 8th grade band is invited to perform at a high school basketball game with the WHS Pep Band. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the extracurricular band activities offered at the high school while having a great time making music! Students will arrive at 5:30 pm to rehearse with the WHS Pep Band prior to the game at 7:00 pm. Games typically last two hours or less. This is a required event for 8th grade band students.

Pops Concert - January 25th, 6:30 pm Student Arrival

We are excited for our inaugural “Pops” Concert featuring the MMS 8th Grade Band, WMS 8th Grade Band, and WHS Wind Ensemble. Each band will perform a selection of “pop” pieces from movies, musicals, and more! Students should wear their traditional concert attire: blue WMS band shirt, solid black dress pants/leggings or skirt, and solid black dress shoes. This is a required event for 8th grade band students.
