Grading Policy

Grading Policy:

• Class Assignments and Engagement

  • Reviews of class material, responses to prompts, exit slips, etc

• Lesson Attendance and Engagement

  • Being present and contributing to small group or individual lesson sessions

  • Lessons occur weekly on a rotating basis throughout the school day.

  • Students will be expected to attend one lesson per week.

• Playing Assessments

  • Live or recorded individual performances

• Grading Categories

  • 10% - Practice

  • 35% - Application

  • 55% - Assessment

Performances are required and are graded events. Conflicts should be handled appropriately as stated in the 2022-23 Band Handbook / Info Packet.
