The Lesson Program is a required component of Ms. Andolfi and Mr. Hunter's job description and our students' continued growth and development. Students' participation and engagement in the small group lessons is a required and graded component of their band class. Students understand the procedures below and will be held to them. 

On the day of a lesson, students will:

1) Arrive to class, check in with teacher that they have a band lesson

2) Complete any bell work, wait for attendance to be taken

3) Complete any quiz/test/non-repeatable lab scheduled for that day 

4) Ask politely to attend their band lesson

5) Report to the band room

In most cases, we hope to see students sometime in the first few minutes of the period. Due to the fact that we are dealing with middle schoolers, we may send a runner to remind students who have organizational issues. The band lesson schedule will be posted in multiple places around the band room. Students are scheduled for ONE (1) lesson per week. Lesson periods rotate week-to-week to prevent excessive absences from classes.

For 1st Quarter Lessons, in most cases,

For 6th Grade, all lessons will take place during Periods 1, 2, 3, 6, or 7, Tue-Fri.

For 7th Grade, all lessons will take place during Periods 1, 2, 3, 6 or 7, Mon-Fri

For 8th Grade, all lessons will take place during Periods 1, 2, 3 or 7, Mon/Wed/Fri.
